Firmware to fix IBIS glitch in the Canon EOS R5/Canon EOS R6 matrix?

UPDATE 29/04: The bug affecting the in-body image stabilization (IBIS) system of the Canon EOS R5 and Canon EOS R6 looks set to be fixed by an imminent firmware update.

Although Canon has not made an official announcement, it is said to be aware of the issue and will release the update as soon as possible.
