Nikon's summer promotion slashes up to £360 off DSLRs, mirrorless kits and lenses

Camera manufacturers offering seasonal money-saving promotions are nothing new, but Nikon UK's latest Instant Savings deal (opens in new tab) offers a discount off the retailer's price at the point of purchase, rather than having to be redeemed as part of a 'cashback' scheme. These savings come on top of any discounts that Nikon authorised retailers (opens in new tab) might already have applied to the product.

The promotion offers instant savings on the purchase of some of the best Nikon cameras, (opens in new tab) from the entry level D3500 (opens in new tab) (£35 off) to the D850 (£180 off) DSLRs, as well as the new Z 6 (opens in new tab) (up to £270 off) and Z 7 (opens in new tab) (up to £360 off) mirrorless models.

The savings aren't just limited to camera bodies, but available on a wide range of lenses too, and not just older models: it's notable that the only-just-in-the-shops Z NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8 S (opens in new tab) sees a handsome £180 shaved off the asking price.

The promotion starts on 15 May 2019 and runs until 15 August 2019, and Nikon says that it has been introduced to improve the ease with which consumers' access promoted pricing – meaning those buying qualifying Nikon products will no longer need to redeem cashback following their purchase.

Jake Cundy, Head of Business Planning at Nikon UK says: “Our instant savings promotion is the ideal way for photography enthusiasts to make savings instantly, allowing them to access great offers on new kit, without the need for redemption post-purchase.”

"What’s more, with a vast selection of Nikon cameras and lenses on offer, from the award-winning mirrorless Z range to our entry-level D3500 D-SLR, it’s never been a better time to invest in some exceptional glass and high-performance cameras in time for summer.”
