Xiaomi's 2018 Pocophone F1 was a hit for those in the know, delivering fantastic value and a low price, albeit with limited availability. While the POCO line hasn't seen much action of late, Geekbench benchmark results have sprung up online for a new device, the POCO X2, which could be the next iteration of this budget powerhouse line.

What's more, this update looks set to pack Samsung's new 64MP ISOCELL camera sensor, as found in the Realme X2 Pro, also expected to feature on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S20

Xiaomi is no stranger to value or big pixel numbers; its Mi 9T Pro was one of our highlights of 2019, and the 108MP Mi Note 10 holds the record for the highest resolution smartphone currently on the market.

Despite packing a POCO name on the Geek Bench listing, this new device could well be rebranded when it lands in the west as either the Redmi K30 or Mi Note 10T given the brand's fluid naming strategy across regions.

In addition to midrange benchmark results, if indeed this is the K30, we know some key device specs. The processor looks set to be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G; memory configurations come in at 8GB RAM with up to 256GB storage, and the display refresh rate is 120Hz. That's silky smooth, bettering devices like the OnePlus 7T and matching the iPad Pro and ROG Phone 2.

History dictates there could well be a pro version of this phone with a top-tier processor, but at this stage, that's speculation. Perhaps we will find out more at Mobile World Congress 2020 which opens its doors in Barcelona from 24 February? We'll be there, so if you're loco for POCO, keep it locked to Digital Camera World.
