For many of us, medium format cameras can seem like a very expensive pipe dream,  but this technology is slowly becoming more affordable – starting with the Fujifilm GFX 50R, which has received an incredible $1,000 discount. This means that you can now pick it up for only $3,499.95. However, what good is a camera without a lens? Luckily, the 50mm f/3.5 R LM WR lens has received a 50% discount in the US, taking it from $999.95 to just $499.95.

The Fujifilm GFX 50R is a 51.4MP camera with a medium format CMOS sensor and an X-Processor Pro Image Processor. It has a 3.2" 2.36m-dot touchscreen LCD that features a three-way tilting design that enables you to shoot from high and low angles easily.

Meanwhile, the Fujifilm GF 50mm f/3.5 R LM WR lens has a 35mm equivalent focal length of 40mm and an aperture range of f/3.5 to f/32. It has a physical aperture ring that allows you to adjust your aperture manually and a liner AF motor to help you achieve quick and quiet focusing that's perfectly suited for both photo and video.

It's well worth investing into the Fujifilm GFX system now, as news has recently broken that these cameras will be getting a firmware update that will significantly improve their abilities. You can now buy the Fujifilm GFX 50R and 50mm f/3.5 lens either separately or together, so check out the deals posts below.
