The GoPro Mission 1 Pro has only been available for a few months, but you can already secure the company’s flagship compact cinema camera for its lowest price yet.
GoPro has dropped the price to just $599.99, down from its regular $699.99 asking price, saving you a very welcome $100 in the camera’s first proper discount.
The GoPro Mission 1 Pro is far more than another rugged action camera. It marks a new premium direction for GoPro, combining the small, adventure-ready design the company is famous for with the sort of imaging performance and video tools you would normally expect from a much larger filmmaking setup.
At the center of the Mission 1 Pro is a substantial 50MP 1-inch sensor, powered by GoPro’s latest GP3 processor. Together, they allow the camera to record 8K video at up to 60fps, capture 8K Open Gate footage at 30fps, and shoot 4K slow motion at up to 240fps. That gives creators plenty of flexibility when it comes to cropping, reframing, stabilizing, or slowing footage down during editing.

At its original $699.99 price, the Mission 1 Pro was undeniably a serious investment, especially when compared with more conventional action cameras. However, at $599.99, the proposition becomes much more attractive.
