A test footage video shows video shot handheld on a Sony A6600 with the Sirui 35mm f/1.8 1.33x anamorphic lens. Compared with the 50mm that Sirui previously launched, the 35mm 1.33x lens spreads the horizontal field of view by up to 33% for a FOV of a 26.3mm lens.

The lens is also built with Aircraft Aluminum housing and a Schott glass structure. According to the Indiegogo page, the lens also "perfectly controls optical distortion and focus breathing to generate superior cinematic imaging". Meanwhile, the f/1.8 aperture ring and focus ring can help "cinematize footage to the max" by creating blue light streaks and oval bokeh effects.
