Designed to pair seamlessly with a variety of dash cams, this microSD card has been tested to endure up top 40,000 hours of recording, while also being able to perform reliably in extreme cold, heat and humidity - the kind of environments likely to affect a vehicle's interior. With many of the best dash cams now offering 4K front+rear video recording, a microSD card intended for dash cams needs to be capable of fast performance. The SanDisk Dash Cam card is rated for up to 100MB/s read and 40MB/s write speeds; that's some way off the pace of the quickest microSD cards, but it should still be fast enough for even the most demanding 4K dash cams. Capacity options range from 32GB ($22.99/£20.99) up to 512GB ($149.99/£150.99), with all capacities being available to buy now.

A memory card for security cameras needs to be even more durable than one designed for a dash cam, as it's likely to be operating continuously, 24/7. Consequently, the SanDisk Security Cam card is rated to handle up to 4 years of continuous recording. That's great for cameras that only store footage locally, but it can also be invaluable as a back-up for cloud cameras, should your internet connection ever drop out. Like the Dash Cam card, this version is capable of up to 100MB/s read and 40MB/s write rates, making it suitable for high resolution recording up to 4K, and it's built to survive harsh outdoor environments, including extreme heat, cold and humidity. You also get the same 32GB-512GB capacity options, with identical pricing to the Dash Cam cards. SanDisk Security Cam microSD cards are available now and are backed by a 2-year limited warranty.
