New firmware updates for the original Nikon Z6 and Z7 mirrorless cameras makes Raw video output compatible with external capture devices manufactured by Blackmagic Design.

While the updates can be downloaded from the Nikon website, enabling this functionality has to be carried out at an authorised Nikon Service Centre and incurs a fee ($199/£179/€199, other countries vary). Those whose cameras have already been serviced for Raw video output can simply update the firmware to Ver. 3.2, with no need for additional service at a Nikon facility.
