The Samsung Galaxy M42 5G features a 48MP quad camera, 5000mAh battery and Snapdragon 750G processor
Samsung has announced the brand new Samsung Galaxy M42 5G. This mid-range 5G device is being billed as the "most affordable 5G smartphone in India" and is also the first Galaxy M handset that features Samsung Pay as well. It remains to be seen whether the Galaxy M42 5G will be offered in markets outside of India as well.

However, 5G connectivity and the Snapdragon 750G chip aren't the only things to get excited about. The Samsung Galaxy M42 5G features a 6.6" Super AMOLED Infinity-U display that's perfect for those who want to binge watch from one of the best streaming services.
It also has a quad camera featuring a 48MP ISOCELL GM2 sensor for the main rear camera. Meanwhile, the Galaxy M42 5G also features an 8MP ultra wide camera, a 5MP macro camera and a 5MP depth camera to blur the background for Portrait-effect shots. Users can capture 4K 30fps video recording, or use camera modes such as Night Mode, Hyperlapse, Flaw Detection and Super-Slow Motion for super impressive shots. Plus, the front-facing camera has a 20MP sensor with 'selfie focus' for high-resolution selfies (a perfect accompaniment for the best TikTok lights?).
Other specs include a massive 5,000mAh battery that delivers 34 hours of video play on a single charge, the introduction of Samsung Pay and Android 11.
The Samsung Galaxy M42 5G will be available from 01 May in Prism Dot Black and Prism Dot Gray, priced at INR 21999 for 6GB + 128 GB variant and INR 23999 for 8GB + 128 GB variant.
