Atomos has arrived at IBC 2026 with two new monitors, although they sit at rather different ends of the production spectrum. The new Shinobi 7 II is aimed squarely at photographers, filmmakers and content creators who want a bigger screen on their camera, while the enormous Shogun AV-19M is designed more for broadcast studios, production galleries and video villages.
For most of us, the Shinobi 7 II is the more interesting of the pair. Atomos has squeezed a 7-inch HDR touchscreen into what it describes as a lightweight, on-camera design, while boosting brightness to a pretty substantial 2,800 nits. That should make checking focus and exposure considerably easier outdoors.

The Shinobi 7 II also connects to compatible cameras over USB-C, allowing you to adjust aperture, shutter speed or angle, ISO, and white balance directly from the touchscreen. Some cameras will also support touch-to-focus and shutter release, which could make the Shinobi particularly handy for working with cameras positioned in awkward places.
Atomos has included its usual collection of monitoring tools, including EL Zone, false color, waveform, vectorscope, focus peaking, zebras and anamorphic de-squeeze, alongside 3D LUT support and on-device display calibration. HDMI tops out at 4K 30p, while power can come from USB-C PD or the familiar Sony NP-F battery system. The Shinobi 7 II arrives in September for $499 / £510 / €499.
Then there is the Shogun AV-19M. The 19-inch rackmount touchscreen combines 4K HDR DCI-P3 monitoring with NDI HX3, 12G-SDI and HDMI connectivity. It can show one NDI feed full-screen or display four network video sources simultaneously in a quad-view layout.
It also gets Atomos' professional exposure and focus tools, customizable function buttons, and an optional ruggedized flypack for taking the display on location. The Shogun AV-19M will arrive in October priced at $1,899 / €1,899.
