Sony's legendary A7 III might be eight years old, but at $500 off, it's still a camera I'd happily recommend
The Sony A7 III has $500 off at Adorama, making it under $1,500!
If you've been considering making the switch to Sony, stepping into the world of full-frame photography, or simply looking for a capable mirrorless camera without spending a small fortune, this might be the deal you've been waiting for.
The incredibly popular Sony A7 III has just received a massive $500 price reduction, bringing it down to just $1,498 at Adorama.
Sony's best-selling body boasts a 24.2MP full-frame sensor, 10fps burst shooting, twin memory card slots, image stabilization, and 4K video.
💰 Perfect all-round setup
✅ Highly sophisticated AF system
❌ Burst shooting slower than modern standards
Now, I know what you're thinking. The Sony A7 III was launched back in 2018, which makes it something of a veteran in the rapidly evolving world of mirrorless cameras. But here's the thing: just because a camera is getting older doesn't mean it suddenly stops being good. In fact, I would argue that the A7 III remains an incredibly capable camera for a huge number of photographers, and while newer models might offer more sophisticated autofocus systems, higher resolutions, and improved video capabilities, there's still an awful lot to love about this full-frame workhorse.
At its heart is a 24.2MP full-frame sensor capable of producing beautifully detailed images with excellent dynamic range, while its 14-bit RAW files offer plenty of flexibility when it comes to editing. You also get Sony's 693-point phase-detection and 425-point contrast-detection autofocus system, which, although no longer at the cutting edge of camera technology, is still more than capable of delivering excellent results across everything from portraits and landscapes to travel and everyday photography. Throw in 10fps continuous shooting, dual memory card slots, and uncropped 4K video at 24p, and you're looking at a camera that still has plenty to offer.
Of course, there are compromises compared with Sony's latest mirrorless cameras, particularly when it comes to subject recognition, autofocus tracking, and video features. But I think it's important to remember that not everyone needs the latest technology, and for many photographers, the A7 III offers everything they could realistically want from a full-frame camera. Photography hasn't fundamentally changed since 2018, and a camera that was capable of producing exceptional images eight years ago is still capable of producing exceptional images today.
And that's what makes this deal so appealing. At just $1,498, with a substantial $500 saving, the Sony A7 III represents a fantastic opportunity to get into Sony's extensive full-frame ecosystem without paying the premium associated with its latest models. Whether you're upgrading from an APS-C camera, buying your first full-frame body, or simply looking for a dependable second camera, this is a deal I certainly wouldn't overlook.
