I wish this official Nikon jacket were available outside of Japan – and there’s a matching T-shirt and umbrella, too!

Nikon Direct has launched another tantalizing range of lifestyle products, including a rather fetching t-shirt and jacket, that Western Nikon fans can’t get their hands on. But in my continued quest to prove to Nikon that we overseas want merch, too, I thought I’d share the latest releases to hit the Japanese domestic market by way of Digital Camera Watch and the brand’s official online store.

Nikon clothing

First up, the aforementioned Nikon T-Shirt and Nylon Jacket. These classy clothing items both feature a tasteful, minimalist black design with an offset white Nikon logo on the chest and the classic Nikon red stripe on one arm.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I think adding Giorgetto Giugiaro’s timeless design cue is genius. Subtle enough, but if you know, you know. Both items of clothing are available in three sizes (M, L, XL). The t-shirt is priced at JP¥4,000 and the jacket JP¥9,600 (approx $25/£19/AU$36 and $61/£46/AU$87 respectively).

You can also now pick up the Nikon Folding Umbrella and Nikon Folding Chair to go with your Nikon wardrobe. The folding umbrella is small and boasts a classic black design with a tiny Nikon label on the canopy. Underneath, it has a rather fetching white reverse, displaying a variety of Nikon cameras and lenses such as the Nikon Zf, Nikon Z8, and Nikon ZR.

It can be used to repel rain or as a parasol with light-blocking and UV-cutting ratings of 95% or more. It folds down into a small package that’s not much longer than a standard bottle of water. It’s priced at JP¥5,600 (approx $35/£27/AU$51).

The folding chair features a similar black design with a white Nikon logo and red stripe. It’s rated up to 100kg and packs down into a tiny 290x90mm bag and weighs just 520g. Ideal for long hikes or patiently waiting for that bird or mammal to appear. It’s priced at JP¥5,900 (approx $37/£28/AU$54).

All of this comes shortly after Nikon Direct launched a pair of Noct-themed accessories in the form of a neck warmer and pack of paper cups. Whatever will the folks at the ‘Big N’ think of next?
