I’m once again left feeling jealous of all the photographers with access to Nikon Japan’s Nikon Direct storefront, because the ‘Big N’ has launched more tantalizing swag: a neck warmer and paper cups based around the fastest Nikkor lens in history, the Nikon Z 58mm f/0.95 S Noct.
Okay, so paper cups certainly weren’t on my bingo card for 2026, and more Nikon swag wasn’t exactly the big new release I’ve been waiting for, but I’ll take a neck warmer and paper cup that looks like the mighty Noct.
The Lens Neck Warmer Noct is definitely something I could see accompanying me on a cold hike. Ribbed fabric represents the focus ring, and the classic Noct script is embroidered just below the focal length and aperture markers. The fabric is fleece, so I’m guessing it’s pretty warm, too.
The Lens Paper Cups Noct come in a pack of 25 and feature a similar Noct-inspired design to the neck warmer, but more detailed, with printing made to look like a control ring, LED screen, tripod foot and more. I guess these 280ml cups would make a great talking point at a photography-themed party, exhibition or camera club meet.
Pricing and history
Sadly, these items are Nikon Direct exclusives, which means they are available only to Japanese domestic customers. The Lens Neck Warmer Noct is priced at 4,500 yen (roughly $29, £21, AU$40), and the Lens Paper Cups Noct (Set of 25) are priced at 1,500 yen (roughly $9.50, £7.15, AU$13.44).
If you’re wondering why the Nikon Z 58mm f/0.95 S Noct is such a big deal, it’s the latest in a very exclusive line of premium lenses that represent the pinnacle of Nikon’s optical engineering. The Z-mount Noct was released in 2019 with an eye-watering RRP of $7,997 / £8,299. Think of it as a conceptual lens that's available for purchase, designed to showcase the very pinnacle of the Z mount’s capabilities.
