New rumored specifications for the Sony A7R V have been leaked, giving Sony camera fans much to discuss in the wait for the upcoming camera. With the previous Sony A7R IV due to celebrate its second birthday in September, we're not surprised to see specs begin to leak for its replacement. However, we wouldn't expect to see the Sony A7R V until 2022 – so we'd recommend taking these new leaks with a pinch of salt.

We'd previously heard rumors that the Sony A7R V would feature a whopping 102MP sensor. However this gigantic figure seems to have quietly slipped away in the latest reports. Instead, rumors suggest that the Sony A7R V will feature a 61MP Exmor R sensor with an accompanying BIONZ XR processor.

As reported by Photo Rumors, the Sony A7R V could also feature "real-time tracking eye focus for birds/ animals/humans", 10fps continuous shooting, 5.5 stop five axis image stabilization and 759 phase detect AF. Meanwhile, the physical body of the Sony A7R V will feature a 9.44 million pixel EVF, a 2.36 million pixel flip LCD screen and a dual CFE-A/ SD compatible card slot.

For those interested in video, the Sony A7R V looks set to deliver. Photo Rumors suggests that we'll see full-frame oversampling 8K/24p, Super35 oversampling 4K/30p and 1.24 time crop model 4K/60p. It's also set to feature XAVC HS/S/SI encoding video color depth up to 10Bit 4:2:2 and is said to support multiple creative modes, including S-CineTone.

Interestingly, the Sony A7R V looks set to cost around $3,500 / £3,800 / (approx.) AU $6,800. You can read more detail about the rumored specs for the Sony A7R V at Photo Rumors. However, just remember that it's likely these specifications will change before the Sony A7R V is eventually released.
