The Nikon D600 sensor topped cameras like the medium-format Pentax 645D and even its own sibling, the Nikon D4, in tests aimed at measuring its potential for colour depth, dynamic range and low-light performance.
The only two cameras to best the Nikon D600 sensor, according to DxO, are its twin siblings, the Nikon D800 and the Nikon D800E, which tops the list.
The top Canon DSLR on the list is the Canon EOS 5D Mark III, in 13th place.
Our testing team has a Nikon D600 in the office and we should have a review soon. In the meantime, you can catch up with their updates over on their Nikon D600 hands-on review.
