Canon’s full-frame RP just crashed to £649 in the Amazon Prime sale
Want to go full-frame for less? The Canon EOS RP is now only £649 in the Prime sale
The Amazon Prime Big Deal Days sale is now live, and one of the most tempting full-frame camera deals I have spotted so far is on the Canon EOS RP, which has dropped to just £649 from its usual £1,049.99 price.
That is a substantial saving on one of Canon’s most compact full-frame mirrorless cameras, and it makes the RP particularly appealing for anyone looking to make the jump to a larger sensor without spending four figures.
The Canon EOS RP is a compact and lightweight full-frame mirrorless camera that offers strong image quality, easy handling, and excellent value for photographers stepping up from APS-C.
The EOS RP may no longer be the newest camera in Canon’s mirrorless range, but that does not stop it from being an incredibly capable little full-frame body. Its 26.2MP sensor delivers excellent image quality, while the compact dimensions make it considerably easier to carry than many traditional full-frame cameras.
It is also a very approachable camera to use. Canon’s menus remain some of the easiest to navigate, the fully articulating touchscreen is particularly useful for shooting from unusual angles, and Dual Pixel autofocus makes focusing quick and straightforward for everyday photography. Pair it with one of Canon’s smaller RF lenses and you have a genuinely lightweight full-frame setup that is ideal for travel, street photography, portraits and family photography.
There are newer Canon cameras with faster burst rates, more advanced autofocus and stronger video specifications, but that is not really where the EOS RP’s appeal lies. This is a camera for photographers who want the look and flexibility of a full-frame sensor in a small, uncomplicated and affordable body.
At £649 in the Amazon Prime sale, the Canon EOS RP becomes considerably easier to recommend. Full-frame mirrorless cameras rarely fall into this sort of price territory, and if you have been waiting for an affordable way into Canon’s RF system, this is one of the deals I would be paying attention to.
