Camp Snap went viral for its screen-free camera that feels like a digital remake of disposable film – but now the brand is bringing back another retro format. The Camp Snap 110D reimagines the narrow, wide 110 format film cameras from the 1970s as an 8MP digital camera.
While the shape looks entirely different, the Camp Snap 110D brings much of the well-loved tech from the Camp Snap 2 into the new design. The camera uses an 8MP 1/3.2-inch Sony-made sensor paired with a 26mm equivalent fixed lens.
One key difference, however, is that Camp Snap says that the 110D has the fastest shutter response yet, with a reimagined button design. Shutter lag was a key complaint among earlier models, a feature that subsequent launches like the CS-Pro and Camp Snap 2 worked to improve.

In keeping with the Camp Snap line-up, the 110D is screen-free, shooting images through a traditional optical viewfinder. That screen-free focus is designed for remaining in the moment, without the ability to browse through those photos right away.
The 110 film format was well-loved for its simplicity – unlike a roll of 35mm, the format didn’t require feeding the edge of the film into the camera but instead was a ready-to-shoot cartridge that just popped into the back.
While Camp Snap’s take on the retro photo form is all digital, the 110D aims to keep that same simplicity. The camera includes five built-in filters that are swappable with a slider, without requiring an app to get a different look. Both those filters and the microSD card door can be locked, making it a retro camera that’s also kid-safe.
A microSD card comes pre-installed with enough space for about 2,000 images. And while screen-free, an included USB-C cord is at the ready for when those photos are ready to be transferred to a smartphone or computer. (And recharging, with the camera rated for about 500 shots per charge.)
The inspiration based on the 110 cameras of the 1970s makes the new launch a bit longer than the Camp Snap 2, but the 110D is also thinner than the earlier disposable camera dupe, measuring 143.2 x 50 x 24.5mm – about 5.6 x 1.9 x 0.96 inches. The design also includes strap lugs for adding on a lanyard or strap (sold separately).
I’ve shot with every current Camp Snap camera model – and even have fond recollections of popping in a 110 film cartridge into the back of a camera in the 1990s. The Camp Snap 110D introduces a fun new shape with a camera from another era. But with specs that match the Camp Snap 2, the image quality should be identical.
The improved speed and re-mixed design come in at a price point that’s just above the Camp Snap 2. The 110D is expected to retail for about $75. International pricing wasn’t immediately available, but that converts to about £56 / AU$105 / CA$105.
