As part of its 30th anniversary celebrations, The Pokémon Company has unveiled its latest collaboration: a collection of Pokémon x SanDisk mobile storage drives themed around fan-favorite characters Mew and Mewtwo.
"Crafted for creators, collectors and Pokémon trainers alike", the lineup marries tactile 2D likenesses of Mew and Mewtwo with the high-capacity, high-performance power of SanDisk flash drives and portable SSDs.
The SanDisk Pokémon Portable SSD Mewtwo Edition challenges you to "carry even more and channel Mewtwo's strength", with capacities of 500GB and 1TB, and transfer speeds up to 5 times faster than traditional portable hard drives.
Just like Mewtwo, this pocket-sized SSD is one tough customer; it's able to withstand drops of up to 6.6ft / 2m, and can operate in temperatures as low as 32°F / 0°C and all the way up to 113°F / 45°C. It can even store your data in temperatures as extreme as -4°F / -20°C to 176°F / 85°C.
The SanDisk Pokémon USB-C Flash Drive Mew Edition, meanwhile, promises to "bring Mew's playfulness to your flash drive". Ideal for cross-platform storage and transfer, this 128GB drive works across phones (via the SanDisk app), PCs and Macs, boosting your storage space to up to 5,000 photos with 250 MB/s read speeds "faster than Mew’s evasive maneuvers".
Both drives come with the SanDisk app for mobile and desktop, which makes it easy to move, copy, protect and automatically backup your files.
