Amazon has dropped the price of the Canon EOS R100 with its 18-45mm kit lens to just £449, down from £609.11. That saves you £160.11 and makes this one of the cheapest ways to get into Canon’s current EOS R mirrorless system with a lens included.

Canon EOS R100 + RF-S 18-45mm: was £609.11 now £449 at Amazon

The Canon EOS R100 with the RF-S 18-45mm lens is an affordable and compact mirrorless kit, offering solid image quality, easy handling, and a useful everyday zoom range that makes it a great choice for beginners, travel, and family photography.

The EOS R100 is aimed squarely at photographers taking their first step beyond a smartphone or compact camera. It keeps things deliberately simple, but still gives you the flexibility of interchangeable lenses and a much larger APS-C sensor, making it a great starting point for anyone who wants to learn photography without spending a fortune.

Inside is a 24.1MP APS-C sensor paired with Canon’s DIGIC 8 processor, delivering plenty of detail for travel, family photos, portraits and everyday shooting. Canon’s color reproduction has always been one of the company’s strengths, and the EOS R100 produces attractive JPEGs straight out of the camera without demanding much editing.

Canon’s Dual Pixel CMOS AF system handles autofocus, while eye detection makes portraits much easier for beginners. You also get up to 6.5fps continuous shooting and 4K video recording, giving the R100 enough versatility to experiment with both stills and video as your skills develop.

What makes this deal particularly appealing is the price. At £449 with a lens included, the EOS R100 offers a genuinely affordable route into Canon’s RF system, with plenty of scope to add more RF and RF-S lenses later. For beginners, students, or anyone wanting a lightweight everyday camera without a huge initial investment, this is one of the more tempting Canon deals I have seen in the Amazon sale.
