The Fujifilm X100F might be nine years old, but in a world where the X100VI comes at a premium price point and can still be difficult to get hold of, and the X100V is so expensive on the used market, it’s hard to justify; the Fujifilm X100F arguably represents the sweetest spot between specs and affordability in the entire X100 Series.
A video by Rareș Gheorghiu entitled ‘Fujifilm X100F or X100VI in 2026’ (below), is a great watch for anyone who wants to pick up one of Fujifilm’s social-media-famous compact cameras but is confused about which one to get.

The gist of Rareș’ opinion is that the Fujifilm X100F, V and VI all “kind of do the same thing” when it comes to their stills photography capabilities. However, the X100VI is the clear winner for content creators who require video or anyone looking for the most advanced specs and/or image quality.
And sure, there are plenty of differences between these cameras, but what I’m getting from the video is that they’re all everyday cameras in which to snap the world around you. With that in mind, different sensors, processors, weather sealing, and IBIS are all very nice specs to have, but the Fujifilm X100F still embodies the core ethos of the X100 Series. It’s beautiful, compact, and captures great images. For many photographers, that’s all they need.
