Pixar Presidents! Hilarious cartoon-style filters have driven this face-editing software to the top of the app store

Ever wanted to see a toontown rendition of Trump? A Pixar-fied version of Biden? A new face-editing app has gone viral, thanks to its suite of filters that enable users to create Disney and cartoon-style depictions of themselves (or, indeed, others).
The latest in a long line of creative cloud-powered facial feature editors, ToonMe has been challenging the best photo apps due to its unique takes on the genre, from transforming faces into the kind of soft, squishy, CGI appearance of a Pixar film to the flat, cel-shaded look of a golden age Disney animation.
It absolutely exploded last week, with almost half a million overnight downloads driving it to the number one spot on Google Play's photography apps – and it hasn't relinquished the position since. It has likewise taken up residence in the top ten of the App Store, with downloads showing no sign of slowing down.

While it's obviously much more niche than the traditional best photo editing software like Photoshop and Affinity, ToonMe has understandably taken off thanks to its adoption by people using it for social media channels like Facebook and Instagram. As such, it has to rank as one of the best free photo editors purely for influencers and online profiles.
You can download the app for both iOS and Android, which is free to use but requires you to pay to unlock some of the more interesting filters. However, you can also explore the software in your browser without spending a penny – and it offers some effects that aren't available on the phone version.
