Digital Camera World Verdict

The Epson V850 is an excellent film scanner for processing large amounts of film quickly and in high quality. Its high optical resolution of 6400 dpi, support for multiple film formats, and advanced technologies including Digital ICE and Silverfast software make it the ideal choice for professionals. The V850 is capable of producing high-quality scans with accurate color reproduction, and detail, and additionally, the V850 comes with multiple sets of film holders that ensure accurate film placement during scanning, and a faster workflow. However with a very expensive price tag and not noticeably better than its little brother the Epson V600, is the substantial additional cost justified.
