We don’t know much more about the new Samsung Galaxy Z phone just yet, but there isn’t long to wait until the lid is lifted on the manufacturer's second stab at a foldable camera phone.

The Galaxy Z has leaked in renders before, but now we’ve got something much juicier. Over a week ahead of the expected launch of the Korean tech brand’s second foldable, it has made its live-action debut online.
Leaker and render designer Ben Geskin posted a short clip to Twitter (opens in new tab) and YouTube (see below) showing off the phone’s Eighties-styled pink exterior, its dinky front notification display and, most flipping noteworthy, the foldable unfurling from a clamshell to a candy bar.

When folded, there are a few noteworthy elements on the front of the Galaxy Z. Most apparent is a dual camera with a tiny flash alongside it. This instantly suggests that imaging won’t be the phone’s strongest suit, but we anticipate two 12MP sensors paired with wide and ultra-wide lenses based on previous Galaxy Z leaks (opens in new tab).
Next to the camera bump is a small display – clearly an OLED, as it disappears when not in use. This horizontal ticker is markedly tinier than the one on the front of the Motorola Razr (opens in new tab), likely owing to the fact it isn’t a viewfinder for selfies. Instead, it will probably just relay basic notifications and serve as a caller ID.
Once opened up, the Galaxy Z’s inner screen features a punch-hole camera in the top-center of its flexible OLED display. While we don’t have a confirmed resolution yet, when unfurled it looks like it’s sitting firmly in tall-phone-territory, at around 21:9 – making it roughly as long as the Sony Xperia 5 (opens in new tab).
