UPDATE: Looks like this one’s out of stock, but stay tuned to DCW for more Aussie Black Friday deals – and check out the Black Friday hub at our sister site TechRadar for the best tech and gaming specials to be had in Australia.
Original offer below:
It's only about 18 months old, but the EOS M50 was Canon's first mirrorless camera to boast 4K video recording. And despite being followed by powerhouses like the EOS M6 Mark II, this compact APS-C mirrorless system is still one of the best value beginner mirrorless cams you can find on the market today.
With a 24.1MP crop sensor under the hood, the M50 produces some excellent images with enough resolution so users can print out their memories without worrying about visible pixellation at larger sizes. The Digic 8 imaging engine, which is still Canon's current technology, gives the camera a very respectable burst speed of 10fps, in case you'd like to follow your kid's soccer adventures or capture your pet's antics.
While it can't quite match the video quality of the newer EOS M6 Mark II, the M50 can still hold its own as a video-shooting unit.
Unlike many other entry-level mirrorless cameras, the M50 actually boasts an electronic viewfinder, and its rear display is a 3-inch vari-angle screen that offers a lot more flexibility while shooting.
If this sounds like something you'd like to get your mitts on, eBay Australia's Black Friday sale has kicked off with an excellent discount on the M50 kit which comes with a 15-44mm lens bundled.
Canon EOS M50 + 15-44mm kit lens | AU$676 (was AU$899; save AU$223)
It's one of Canon's most underrated mirrorless cameras and offers the most bang for your buck. A single-lens kit in Australia will usually set you back about AU$900, but use the checkout code PITCH20 on eBay and you'll save over AU$220 on the bundle. It's perfect as a Christmas gift, either for a loved one or if you just want to treat yourself. The offer ends December 2 and the price mentioned even includes shipping costs.View Deal
