VIOFO has launched three new dash cams, each offering different levels of camera coverage, catering to a range of price points:
VIOFO T340
Headlining the trio is the T340, which stands out from previous VIOFO dash cams thanks to its new cylindrical design. The T340 is available in 3- and 4-channel configurations, all based around a 4K front-facing camera that uses Sony's STARVIS 2 IMX678 image sensor. This has been designed specifically for surveillance applications and is capable of HDR recording for high image quality even in challenging lighting.
The front-facing camera unit also incorporates a built-in rear-facing cabin camera that operates at 2K resolution. It's capable of infra-red recording in order to capture good detail even if the interior of the vehicle is almost completely dark, with a 210-degree field of view helping to minimize blind spots.
You can then choose to team the front-facing/cabin camera unit with either a 2K rear-facing camera, or a 2K waterproof rear camera, resulting in a 3-channel dash cam set-up.
VIOFO will also supply the T340 in a four channel kit, containing the same front+cabin+rear/waterproof rear cameras, but adding a 2K telephoto camera that provides a more focused view of details at longer distances.
Whichever version you choose, you get Wi-Fi 6 connectivity for faster access to recordings and quicker file transfers through the VIOFO app. Add the optional hardwire kit and the T340 can record in parking mode, even when the vehicle is turned off, with Hybrid Parking Mode able to switch to Low-Power Impact Detection after a pre-set time or voltage threshold. This helps preserve key evidence while reducing power consumption and helping protect the vehicle's battery.
The VIOFO T340 is available now, with prices starting at $459.99/£460/€460.95 for a 3-channel configuration, rising to $519.99 for the 4-channel kit including the telephoto camera.
VIOFO T330
The midrange option in VIOFO's three new dash cams is the T330. This flexible design enables 2- or 3-channel configurations, with the option to combine two or three of the following cameras: front, interior, standard rear, waterproof rear, and telephoto. STARVIS 2 sensors are used in the front, interior and rear cameras, with the front camera running at 4K resolution, and the other cameras at 2K. Like the T340, the T330's cabin camera gives a wide 210-degree field of view to capture not just the vehicle's interior, but also exterior detail through the side windows. The T330 also boasts the same Hybrid Parking Mode and Low-Power Impact Detection parking protection as the T340, along with rapid Wi-Fi 6 video downloading.
Expect to pay from $359.99/£360/€360.95 for a standard 2-channel front+rear camera T330, while a 3 channel front+rear+cabin camera T330 costs $419.99.
VIOFO A149 Pro Duo
Lastly, there's the new A149 Pro Duo. This is a more simple 2-channel (4K front + 1080p rear) dash cam, which promises simple, streamlined installation and clear video quality, with HDR helping to record vital evidence even in harsh or low lighting conditions. Although it's the most accessibly-priced of VIOFO's three new dash cams, costing $249.99/£250/€250.95, the A149 Pro Duo still benefits from the same Hybrid Parking Mode, Low-Power Impact Detection and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity found in the more expensive T330 and T340 dash cams.
