New flash modifier Rogue FlashBender v3 has been announced

Expolmaging, Inc., the creator of the original Rogue FlashBender speed light modifiers, has announced the Rogue FlashBender v3. And as you'll see in the video above, we were impressed by this versatile flash modifier when we got to see it up close in personal in The Photography Show: Burst Mode studio.

Retaining the flexibility of the original FlashBenders, the v3 design has improved the product's ability to retain its shape by incorporating a structural mesh inside. This mesh, combined with the FlashBenders' shapeable rods, is designed to make it even easier to form a FlashBender v3 into a variety of different shapes, including a reflector, gobo, softbox, snoot and more.

Expolmaging CEO and FlashBender inventor Erik Sowder says: "As portable lighting as continued to improve and change with technology, photographers are using an even larger variety of portable strobes. We developed an updated design that allows FlashBenders to be used with an even greater variety of lights. FlashBender v3 modifiers will fit everything from very small speed lights to larger portable strobes."

The FlashBender v3 light modifiers will be available in three different sizes. The Small Reflector and Small Soft Box Kit are designed for on-camera flash. Meanwhile the Large Reflector and Large Soft Box Kit are perfect for off-camera use on light stands or booms, as well as on-camera use. And finally, the XL Pro System is designed exclusively for off-camera creative lighting applications.

The Rogue FlashBender is already known for its versatility and portability. Its ability to be flattened down means that it can easily sit on top of other gear in your kitbag, or even slide into a laptop slot. We can't wait to get our hands on it and see how it performs.
