You don't have to wait until Black Friday to get the best digital camera deals! It's true that Black Friday is when the world goes crazy with deals on all kinds of camera gear, but many of the big retailers have started early.

Black Friday 2019 is the ideal time to shop for a new DSLR, and we're going to trawl the Internet to bring you the best DSLR deals on the run-up to Black Friday, on Black Friday itself (29 November) and on Cyber Monday (2 December). In the meantime, though, we've found some great early offers that might be just what you're looking for – but without the wait!

But even if you don't see what you want in the Black Friday or Cyber Monday camera deals, don't despair. Black Friday and Cyber Monday are just two dates in a bargain bonanza that lasts right through the Christmas holiday and into the New Year.

What makes a great camera deal?

We rate the best DSLRs not just on fancy technologies and high-end specs, but also down to earth value for money, and very often we'll put an older model that's a great deal ahead of a newer and more expensive one.

Price drops happen all the time. Sometimes camera makers run cashback or instant rebate schemes which can save you A LOT of money. Sometimes a reseller gets a great deal on a specific model or lens bundle, and very often camera makers keep older models on sale even after a new version is launched.

For example, the new Canon EOS 90D is a major upgrade over the older EOS 80D, but the EOS 80D is still a great camera for stills photography, and we expect to see some substantial discounts. If you're quite happy with last year's model instead of the latest kit, you can save huge amounts of money, especially with older Sony models like the Sony A6000 and Sony A7.

The DSLR vs mirrorless argument still rages, but just because the DSLR design is older, don't assume it's inferior. Many users still prefer this camera design. Many of the best cameras for professionals are DSLRs, and some of the best cameras for beginners are DSLRs because they offer the versatility of interchangeable lenses with a really low price point.

Here are some of the best early DSLR Black Friday 2019 deals we've spotted so far. We've split our deals into US DSLR deals and UK DSLR deals so that you can go straight to your territory to discover the best DSLR deals you can get right now! Make sure to keep checking this page ahead of 29 November so you don't miss any early offers, because we don't know how much longer some of these will be around!
