70mai has revealed two new high-end front+rear dash cams capable of 4K front and 4K rear video recording. Headlining the duo is the A900 Ultra. This front+rear dash cam uses Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 sensors in both cameras, enabling true HDR recording from both cameras, with smart HDR switching that adapts to different lighting conditions. With this advanced sensor tech, 70mai states that the A900 Ultra can capture sharper details, clearer license plates, and more reliable road evidence in every driving scenario.
LVDS (Low-Voltage Differential Signaling) Lossless Digital Transmission preserves original image data from the rear camera without compression or quality loss, while also maintaining an ultra-low 20ms latency and consuming minimal power. 70mai has also leveraged the power of AI to enhance image quality in day and night conditions, courtesy of its Owl Vision 2.0, MaiColor Vivid+ Solution 2.0, and Lumi Vision technologies. These intelligently balance exposure, reduce noise, enhance detail, and preserve critical evidence with "exceptional clarity".
As you'd expect from a premium dash cam, the A900 Ultra is capable of parking monitoring. Features such as collision detecting with pre-recording, AI-powered motion detection, and dual-channel time-lapse recording help keep your vehicle protected while you're away, with the camera’s low power consumption enabling up to 30 days of parking protection without draining your vehicle's battery. An optional hardwire kit is required for parking monitoring, but if - like me - you'd rather not have the hassle of installing a hardware kit, 70mai also offers Battery Pack Mini. This is an optional battery that can be stored inside the cabin which provides dedicated power for parking surveillance and is charged through your car's 12V power outlet.
Another optional upgrade is the 4G transmitter module. This allows you to access the dash cam remotely to view or download footage, locate your vehicle, or upload an emergency video. The camera's Wi-Fi 6 5GHz also enables close-range wireless viewing and downloading of footage via the companion app with fast transfer speeds.

Launched alongside the flagship A900 Ultra is the regular A900. This is also a front+rear dash cam with both cameras recording in 4K, however the A900 doesn't use the same premium STARVIS 2 IMX678 sensors as found in the A900 Ultra. Otherwise its parking mode and wireless connectivity features seem the same as you get with the A900 Ultra. The A900 is available to buy now, priced at $199.99/£199.99.
