Adobe has announced a slew of new Photoshop CC features for Creative Cloud members.
The Photoshop CC update (version 14.2) brings a new Perspective Warp function for manipulating perspectives in an image, and linked Smart Objects for easier reuse of design elements.
The Photoshop CC update also adds support for 3D printing in Photoshop CC.
Key among these new features is Perspective Warp, which allows photographers to manipulate multiple perspectives in your image while keeping the rest of the picture intact.
The tool allows you to turn a telephoto-lens shot into a wide-angle shot, correct complex distortions and even change the viewpoint from which an object is seen.
Adobe says the Perspective Warp tool also allows you to combine multiple images together that have different vanishing points.
Below is a short video Adobe released showing how Perspective Warp works.
A second video demonstrates how to use the new linked Smart Objects.
Additional improvements added in the Photoshop CC update include enhancements to Scripted Patterns and fills, performance boosts for Smart Sharpen using the Mercury Graphics Engine, Adobe Generator improvements for rescaling Smart Objects and adding padding, and improved font transformations and shape selections, Adobe says.
