 20 heart-warming photographss have been released by the CEWE Photo Award, to bring a smile to people's faces in this time of crisis – and ahead of the launch of the 2020 competition later this month

Submitted for CEWE Photo Award 2019, these 20 photos from around the world celebrate the beauty and joy that can be found in everyday life. The competition is free to enter, and open to keen amateur photographers as well as established professionals. The entered photos were judged by a panel of recognized industry experts.

It comes as CEWE has announced the starting date of this year’s competition, which will open for entries from participants around the world on Monday 18 May. Full details, as well as details of last year's winners how shared €250,000 in prizes, will be found on the CEWE Photo Award website.

Chris George

Chris George has worked on Digital Camera World since its launch in 2017. He has been writing about photography, mobile phones, video making and technology for over 30 years – and has edited numerous magazines including PhotoPlus, N-Photo, Digital Camera, Video Camera, and Professional Photography.
