Canon EOS 6D Mark II review

Is Canon's "affordable" full-frame proposition still as tempting?

Canon EOS 6D Mk II verdict

The EOS 6D Mark II is a major step forward from the original 6D, but more in operational speed and performance than outright image quality. It’s a terrific camera to use, but its price puts it up against a number of strong cameras. It’s a really good all-rounder which would make a great ‘first’ full-frame DSLR.

Canon EOS 6D

The ‘old’ 6D is technically backward compared to the Mark II, but currently a much, cheaper route into full frame Canon photography.

Nikon D750

It has a tilting screen rather than vari-angle, 2 million fewer pixels and slower Live View AF, but the D750 is a very strong rival nonetheless.

Pentax K-1

The lens choice may be smaller, and the K-1 has some rough edges, but its features offer performance and value.
