The Photography Show is still over a month away, but the exciting announcements just keep stacking up. Today's is a real corker, with the program for both the Video Live stage and the brand new Shutter Street feature stage being released. Whether you're obsessed with photography, or you live and breathe video, there's sure to be the perfect speaker for you.
The Video Live stage is the ideal destination for anyone interested in video, from seasoned professionals to photographers with a healthy curiosity in the moving image. One of the sessions we're looking forward to most is from video creator Shanil, who'll be giving us the low-down on how mobile story-tellers and journalists can use 360 cameras to create effective content.
If you're a professional looking to improve, you might want to check out the talk from pro wedding filmmaker Emma Wilson, who'll be explaining how to set up your kit to capture audio and visuals for a wedding congregation. Alternatively, if you're a budding YouTube star, Luke Curtis will be creating a YouTube video on stage live, revealing his process of planning, shooting and sharing.
If videography isn't quite your thing, don't fear. The Shutter Street stage talks are perfect for both photographers and videographers, so there's plenty to look forward to. Award-winning automotive advertising photography Nigel Harniman will be taking to the stage to demonstrate light-painting a motorcycle to create a stunning commercial image.
If you're a fashion and portrait photographer, you might enjoy Jay McLaughlin's session on how to find great locations for your fashion photo shoots, including what makes the idea backdrop, finding light after dark and where you can and cannot shoot.
Alternatively, if you prefer the quiet solitude of wildlife photography, Victoria Hillman shares her tips on making your garden wildlife photography-friendly, the best ways to shoot different subjects, and how garden photography can help improve your images overall.
