One of the UK’s most popular camera retailers has just relocated to a brand new store in Glasgow. Wex Photo Video has one of the widest range of cameras, lenses and photographic equipment and now those living near in the Glasgow area will be able to have an even better in-store experience.

The relocation of the Glasgow store follows Wex's plans to improve its existing retail units and continue to expand across the UK. In less than 2 years, brand new stores have opened in Milton Keynes, Leeds and Newcastle, providing even more of the UK with expert knowledge and customer service. In total, the UK's camera retailer now has 11 stores dotted across the UK including a rental site in London.

Despite store closures during the pandemic, online sales thrived. People might not have been investing in cameras and lenses but things like telescopes, digital film scanners and trail cameras became really popular. Unlike many businesses post-lockdown, Wex continued with plans to expand the business, opening stores in Milton Keynes in March 2020, Leeds in May 2021 and Newcastle in November 2021.

Previously known as Wex Photographic and Warehouse Express, its name changed to Wex Photo Video in 2017 when it merged with Calumet Photographic (which coincidentally is Wex’s own-brand product line). It now stocks over 20,000 products and in 2020, Wex Photo Video served its one-millionth customer.

On 29th and 30th April, Wex invites you to attend a grand opening in celebrating of the brand-new store on Bath Street. Over the two days, there will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a seminar from portrait photographer Kieran Dodds, and talks by Jeff Carter and Russ Ellis. In-store services the Glasgow shop offers include trade-ins, repair drop-off, impartial advice, Wex rental, camera set up, click and collect plus events with industry experts.
