ChatGPT can now use more than 70 different tools from Adobe apps like Photoshop, Lightroom, and Premiere without leaving the chatbot, thanks to a new Adobe plugin in ChatGPT.
Announced on August 06, the Adobe plugin allows ChatGPT users to type prompts across photos, videos, and designs, then allow the AI to run an Adobe-powered workflow without leaving the AI program.
The move builds on previously released tools by bringing more than 70 different tools using a plug-in for the AI. The plug-in is designed for ChatGPT’s more advanced Work and Codex, two components of the ChatGPT desktop app.
Adobe explains that the plugin allows users to upload multiple photos, describe the look they want, then get a consistently styled edit across the entire set of images, with the collection saved to the Creative Cloud.
For videos, the plugin can help build a short highlight video from a longer project, along with resizing videos to fit different social media platforms.
The plugin also works with Adobe apps beyond photo and video, including Acrobat for building PDFs as well as InDesign and Illustrator for graphic design.

Adobe says that the plug-in uses the same trusted tools found inside Adobe apps and, when users need a tool not found inside the plug-in, a partially finished edit can be opened inside Photoshop for further adjustments.
ChatGPT users first need to open the ChatGPT app, navigate to plugins, then find and install the Adobe plugin. After installation, users can use “@Adobe” to tell the chatbot to work within the Adobe ecosystem.
Logged-in Adobe account holders will have access to more generative capabilities as well as Creative Cloud file storage, but Adobe notes that guests can use the tool without signing in as well.
The Adobe ChatGPT plug-in is rolling out globally from August 06.
