As a Nikon user, I'm thrilled to see a some of my favourite cameras and lenses being discounted during Amazon's Big Smile Sale

I bought myself the Nikon Z8 a couple of years ago and while it's proved its worth, I do regret spending over AU$6,000 on the body and two lenses. Honestly, it's proving overkill for my needs, but that doesn't mean I'm going to trade it in just yet. Instead, I keep eyeing the Nikon Z6 III and wondering what would have happened if I had just waited a little longer before splurging.

The good news is that the aforementioned Nikon Z6 III now has a whopping 40% discount on Amazon, although I should note upfront that the offer is from a third-party reseller on Amazon, so make the purchase if you're comfortable with that.

On the other hand, the Zf and Zfc models are also seeing some tempting discounts for Amazon's Big Smile Sale, with up to 37% off – and that's shipped and sold by Amazon AU, so it's the real deal, so to speak.

While the Zfc is a single-lens, I've also included some lens options to go with the Z6 III or the Zf, helping you snag a full kit for less than it would be at RRP.

The Nikon Z6 II is a versatile, high-performance full-frame mirrorless camera that excels in both stills and video, offering fast autofocus, excellent low-light performance, and a rugged, user-friendly design – the perfect all-around tool for enthusiast and professional shooters alike. If you would prefer to buy it with a lens, there's three options, all discounted, available via the same listing, but please note that all these offers are from a third-party reseller and from Amazon AU.

The Nikon Zf blends FM2-inspired retro styling with modern full-frame performance, featuring tactile dials, gorgeous finish and seriously capable AF in one head-turning body. The results it produces are excellent as well. And while it's available in different colours, sadly only the black model gets the 35% discount, the rest being seeing no more than 19% slashed off their list prices.

This little camera houses a 20.9MP APS-C CMOS sensor, with burst speeds that max out at 11fps and the ability to capture 4K / 30p video. But the star of the show is its excellent physical controls and retro styling. And this all-black edition is sure to turn plenty of heads! Sadly, none of the colourways are discounted as much.

Not the best price I've seen on this fantastic zoom lens – that was AU$2,089 last year – but I love this lens for its versatility and lightweight body. It's perfect for wildlife and sports photographers, pairing very well with any Nikon full-frame body.

This standard zoom isn't usually offered as a kit lens option, which is why I've added it here. This fast lens weighs just a smidge over 500g while also being dust and drip resistant. Moreover, its aperture makes it ideal for portraiture, but its focal range gives it more versatility than you'd first think.
