To keep not just our loved ones safe and sound from the spread of the novel coronavirus, but the wider community as well, we're all staying indoors and keeping ourselves busy as best we can.

This period of self-isolation has led to many of us finding ways and means of unleashing our creativity and sharing the results with the rest of the world via the internet. So if you're keen on joining in the fun and need the bare essentials to get started on your vlogging journey, DJI is here to help.

Known mostly for its popular – and excellent – range of consumer drones, the company also has some superb gimbals, for both mobiles and digital cameras. DJI's gimbals come in all shapes and sizes, each for a specific purpose, but they do cost a pretty penny.

However, with Easter just round the corner, DJI Australia has kicked off a sale with up to AU$300 off on the Ronin-SC and the Osmo range of gimbals, with the offers ending April 16. Moreover, if you enter the code FREEDELIVERY at checkout, you can even save on shipping costs for all items on this Easter sale.

Ronin-SC Pro Combo | AU$599

Ronin-SC Pro Combo | AU$599 (RRP AU$709; save AU$110)

This one is DJI's latest gimbal offering and it's for the pros: it's lighter than its predecessor, capable of carrying a payload of up to 2kg and designed to fit most mirrorless cameras. While the basic Ronin-SC package is still full price, the Pro Combo – which comes with the Focus Wheel, Focus Gear Strip and an RSS Splitter for easy focusing – is currently down by AU$110, one of the best prices on the full kit since its launch last year.

Osmo Mobile 3 Combo | AU$169

Osmo Mobile 3 Combo | AU$169 (RRP AU$189; save AU$20)

It's not a massive discount but the Osmo Mobile 3 is already an affordable smartphone gimbal that captures smooth video for all your vlogging and TikTok needs. It's perfect for those everyday clips, particularly since this Combo pack comes with the Grip Tripod for tabletop filming and a sturdy carry case for the entire kit.

Osmo Pocket | AU$499

Osmo Pocket | AU$499 ( RRP AU$599; save AU$100)

If you really can't be bothered to set up a mobile phone or a digital camera on a gimbal, DJI has an easier solution for you. As the name suggests, the Osmo Pocket is a, well, pocketable gimbal-cum-camera that captures amazingly smooth video in 4K/60p. The problem usually is its staggering high price but this is your chance to save AU$100 on this little wonder cam.

There's more than just gimbals discounted on DJI's Easter sale. You can even get yourself a brand-new drone or an action camera – some of the best in the business – for less before April 16. And, like the gimbals, you can even save on shipping by using the code FREEDELIVERY at checkout and saving a tad more.

However, only two of DJI's drones are discounted at the moment, with the little Tello down by AU$40, but it's the Mavic 2 Pro that sees a price drop of AU$300.

Mavic 2 Pro | AU$2,199

Mavic 2 Pro | AU$2,199 (RRP AU$2,499; save AU$300)

It might be expensive but the Mavic 2 Pro is one of the best all-round drones money can buy. It's got a plethora of pro-level features while also being travel friendly, thanks to its foldable design. It's large, one-inch 20MP sensor captures excellent images and it doesn't take a genius to fly the quadcopter. So if you've been lusting after a 4K drone, or just looking to upgrade, there's a AU$300 savings to be had here.

Osmo Action | AU$369

Osmo Action | AU$369 (AU$499; save AU$130)

DJI's one and only action camera can give the GoPros a run for their money, with stabilised video recording and a front-facing display that's game changing. This little handy camera is perfect for anyone who vlogs a lot, or just wants to get started while being cooped up indoors, without needing to be the high price its competitors carry. The same price is also being offered by several Aussie retailers but there's something to be said about buying straight from the manufacturer.
