Tamron has designed a series of six mirrorless megazoom lenses for APS-C cameras, the most extreme of which is an incredible 18-500mm f/3.5-6.5.

If the design makes it to market, this new Tamron 18-500mm f/3.5-6.5 would eclipse even the impressive Tamron 18-400mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC HLD – the world's first 18-400mm and the current king of extreme zoom ranges. However, while that is one of the best superzoom lenses for Nikon as well as being among the best Canon superzoom lenses, it's a DSLR optic.
