UPDATE: We previously reported that Canon was experiencing production delays that had caused the company to push back a new camera announcement that was originally planned for the CP+ 2021 trade show. With the events of 2020 having hit many major manufacturers, we were expecting these issues to continue for quite a while.

However, it seems Canon might be able to resolve these manufacturing delays sooner than we initially thought. Canon Rumors has reported that Canon has spoken to multiple retailers across Europe, Canada and the United States, informing them that "the camera and lens inventory issues will likely be resolved by the end of March".
