It's the first issue of Australian ProPhoto under the Future Australia banner and there's plenty inside to tickle your pro-photography taste buds – from composition tips to camera reviews, photography news and much more.

In the new edition, filmmaker Jack McCoy talks about his early influences and his much-loved surfboards, while ProPhoto editor Paul Burrows takes the Canon EOS-1D X Mark III for a test run. The new DSLR is shaping up to be one of the most innovative cameras yet, capable of challenging the mirrorless competition with ease – and you can read Paul's extensive review in this issue.

For those who want to improve their skills, we explain how viewers look at images, so you can take your photo composition to the next level. Plus, take a gander at the 25 top shots from the Wildlife Photographer of the Year: Lumix People's Choice Awards. If you'd like a closer look, the exhibition is on right now at Sydney's Australian National Maritime Museum until October 11.
