Could the Canon EOS-1D X Mark III be the last flagship DSLR that Canon will produce? It seems so, according to a new rumor. Some might believe that it was only a matter of time before the Canon EOS-1D X Mark III was usurped by a mirrorless replacement, while others might already be mourning the loss of such an iconic camera series.

However, with mirrorless technology advancing in leaps and bounds, it's not surprising that Canon would turn its attention to updating its flagship professional line with an RF mount twist.
