Amazon Prime Day 2019 camera deals

Amazon Prime Day is a great time to grab a great camera deal... this is everything you should know

Update: Amazon UK's Spring Sale is currently under way... it is not quite the same as Amazon Prime Day. But we have already spotted some great camera bargains during the week which runs from 8–15 April 2019.

Amazon Prime Day is Amazon's own answer to having another Black Friday during the year - and this usually takes place in summer. In 2018, it took place on July 16... so we are expecting similar timing this year.

Last year Amazon says that it sold 100 million items on the 36 hours of the sale... that's billions of dollars in sales. And the important thing is that can be a great way of getting a great camera deal

Stay tuned... we will bring you more details as and when we get them.

Get 30 days of Amazon Prime for free

Take advantage of all the Prime Day deals by signing up for a membership or 30-day free trial of Amazon Prime here:

-US free trial
-UK free trial
-Canada free trial
-India free trial

Most of these are from the retail giant itself, and for these you'll need a Prime membership. (See right – you can take advantage of Prime day with a free 30-day trial if you don't want to fork out for full membership. As long as you cancel within the trial period there are no strings attached.)

But some bargains can be snapped up elsewhere, and we've scooped them all up in this list.

Here, we've rounded up the best camera deals we've found and details on how to get each one. We kick off with the best US-based camera deals right now – and you'll find the best UK-based camera deals below...

Last year's Amazon UK Prime Day camera deals

Sony A7 and 28-70mm OSS lens- Just £569 after cashback (£719 today) Was £899

Still the best deal on Amazon Prime Day so far, Sony's original A7 is a cracking way into full-frame photography, particularly at this kind of price with a lens thrown in. Even at £719 it's a pretty good price, but to get it for £569 you'll need to claim cashback from Sony and follow the T&Cs

Nikon D750 - Only £1,289 (RRP £1,969.99)

A quick glance around UK retailers shows this excellent full-frame option from Nikon to be selling for around £1529, and even with a current cashback offer it still isn't as cheap as you can find it here. Amazon reckons there are only a few bodies left in stock, so swoop in there at speed if you want a slice of Nikon's full-frame magic on the cheap.

Canon EOS M5 and 18-105mm lens - Only £799 (was £1,149)

This EOS M5 is still the big daddy in the EOS M series, and this partnership with the EF-M 18-150mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM lens can be had for around £350 less than you'd be able to get it elsewhere right now. It boasts a 24MP APS-C sensor that's primed with Canon's excellent Dual Pixel CMOS AF system, together with a crisp electronic viewfinder and a tilting LCD screen. If you want to start your mirrorless journey and you want plenty off growing space, this is a fine choice.

GoPro may have had a troubled couple of years, but whatever its financial woes, the company still makes exceedingly good action cameras.
