It’s official… Ansel Adams is the best photographer of all time

    The 55 Best Photographers of All Time: Ansel Adams

    A portrait of photographer Ansel Adams, which first appeared in the 1950 Yosemite Field School yearbook.

    It’s official. Digital Camera World readers have spoken: Ansel Adams is the best photographer of all time.

    We asked you to vote in our poll after we counted down our list of the 55 best photographers of all time.

    The iconic landscape photographer ran away with it, taking 42% of the vote.

    Coming in a distant second was Henri Cartier-Bresson, with 13% of the vote, Steve McCurry with 6.5% and Annie Leibovitz with 3.25%.

    As the winner of our prestigious poll, we will commission an in-depth profile of Ansel Adams and publish it on Digital Camera World in the near future.
