Billed as the world's greatest photo game, GuruShots is an online platform that provides a fun, structured way to showcase your images while gaining global exposure for your work.

By competing in epic challenges against millions of photographers, you can get instant feedback from over three billion monthly votes and increase your ranking from Newbie to achieve the ultimate status (and bragging rights) of Guru.

GuruShots' challenges are voted on by the platform's Gurus and the wider community, and there’s a fresh challenge every day. Winners can receive prizes from GuruShots' sponsors such as Adorama, Kodak, Lowepro and Lensbaby.

The latest 'Your Magazine Shot' gave members the ultimate challenge: to summon their creativity, push their abilities to the limit, and produce shots worthy of appearing in a magazine.

Entrants welcomed the challenge, putting their best feet forward across a wide variety of disciplines. We saw some stunning compositions, such as the perfectly framed mono entry from Nicholas Palmer and the immensely geometrically satisfying shot from Matt Specht.

Twilight shots with a twist also featured heavily, such as Bajkó Tamás city scene featuring light trails and Félicien Mille's capture of serene reflections after dark. And of course we had plenty of amazing animals, such as the squirrel doing yoga from Valdemar Varona and a trio of dancing birds from Tamar Alazraki.

True to the competition's name, the 20 highest ranked images were published in N-Photo magazine and we're pleased to showcase these images below along with the rest of the top 500 featured photographs in the gallery that follows.
