Luminar Neo gets cross-device editing and powerful new AI tools in bumper fall upgrade
Skylum launches Luminar Ecosystem, which streamlines workflow across desktop and mobile devices, alongside a trio of powerful new AI tools for its flagship Luminar Neo photo editing software

Skylum is primed to launch the first phase of its exciting Luminar Ecosystem, providing users of its Luminar Neo photo-editing software with a seamless, cross-device workflow. The news comes following the release of the Luminar: Photo Editor Android app, a milestone that puts the flagship photo editing software on every major platform: Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS/iPadOS.
This has allowed Skylum to introduce its new mobile-to-desktop workflow that allows users to start editing a project on their phone, before using real-time sync to continue the same project on their desktop, without missing a beat. This is made possible by Skylum’s cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring edits are always up to date.
The Luminar Ecosystem will also debut Web Galleries. This powerful new feature allows users to turn their edited images into stunning, personalized web pages, instantly. No website or design skills required. Web Galleries helps Luminar users connect through the power of visual storytelling. Whether you’re sharing a project with clients, emotional stories with family and friends, or a portfolio of your best work, you can have a curated gallery of images published online and ready to share in just a few clicks.

Alongside the launch of the Luminar Ecosystem, Luminar Neo will receive three powerful AI upgrades: Restoration, AI Assistant, and Volume. Restoration allows you to ‘restore’ old or damaged photos in a single click, fixing deep scratches, faded colors, and even colorizing black-and-white photos. It’s the perfect solution for reviving aging family snaps or vintage prints.

AI Assistant is an intelligent guide that analyzes photos and recommends optimal edits for beginners and professionals alike, while making powerful tools such as Develop Raw, Curves, and Color Harmony easier to use than ever before. Volume is a one-click solution to boost both contrast and visual impact – no manual dodging and burning required. It adds depth and dimensionality to imagery by enhancing light and shadow, and is free to all users.
