For the 'Springtime' contest, entrants were asked to submit their scenes of romance, blooming blossoms and any other images that embodied the spring season. Unsurprisingly, flora was the most popular subject for entries – and palettes of pinks and purples were the most popular color scheme! Mariana Stefanova, Maria Petrovski and Robert Varkuti all doused our eyeballs with brilliant hues of pink.
Our favorite image had to be the beautifully rendered, almost fine art floral shot by Nora Skerlecz-Antal. There were also some wonderful non-floral subjects, such as Andrei Liviu's fantastic shot of a woman in a field, with the swirling bokeh effect of the lens making it look like she is dancing in a sea of yellow – just a beautiful photo.
The 20 highest ranked images were published in Photography Week, and we're pleased to showcase these images below, along with the rest of the top 500 featured photographs in the gallery that follows.
