If taking the perfect photo is all a matter of timing, the arrival of DxO’s latest software updates could not be better. The new and improved PhotoLab and FilmPack make editing and rendering smoother than ever, at an introductory price point that cannot be missed.

DxO PhotoLab 5 comes with improved sensitivity to make its intuitive retouching toolkit yet more efficient. A new kind of pointer, the Control Lines tool, is an easy-to-use selection method for perfecting touch-ups on large areas. The Control Lines pointer has also been given more precise sensitivity settings, so making adjustments can be as smooth a process as the final result.

When it comes to processing and export times, DxO PhotoLab 5 has shot even further. DxO DeepPRIME is the culmination of 20 years of deep learning methods designed to streamline the development of RAW files, drastically improve digital noise reduction and ensure more efficient demosaicing. Instead of the traditional process that separates out these operations, DeepPRIME’s holistic approach combines the steps into one.
