UPDATE: New firmware that will enable the Fujifilm GFX 100 to capture 400MP images will be arriving later this month, according to a new report.

The update, which was announced by the manufacturer in February, will quadruple the 102MP resolution of the Fujifilm GFX 100 using pixel shift technology. This uses the in-body image stabilization system to make micro-movements to the image sensor, taking 16 images that are combined into a single file in excess of 400MP.
