Thanks for the comments Alex, yes I'd already looked at a crop, but the resulting format didn't look quite right. The reason for the offset angle was to totally include the stained glass windows. Moving the shooting position would have meant at least one window being cut in half.

I am hoping tomorrow's weather is ok as I'm finishing work early to go try to get my HDR shot. It's my only window before the end of the month...Nothing I have tried so far has failed. It's deffo a technique I can't do!

I've not found it easy either Chris. I've got a couple of possibles but they're not great. But I've really enjoyed trying something new. I've been hoping for some better weather and some good clouds, in the hope that I can get my photo with some dramatic skies.
Running out of time though.

Think I've left things far too late, have some ideas but waiting on some ND filters to be delivered. Something about snow causing transportation issues or some such.

the 2nd rule of the montly competition is:
To be valid images must be taken and entered after the theme has been posted, up to midnight UK time of the last day of the month. ALL of the elements of any composite images or montages must also be taken within this time frame.
