1st outings for my canon eos 300d

Here is a feed to my newly set up flickr and the best pics I have taken recently. I loved using the polariser which came into it's own at bitton church. I would welcome all criticism...and any nice thoughts you might care to partake What is great about the digital slr is that I can take lots and lots of pics without fear of wasting and then delete those of no interest. There were a number of the church that were very washed out? and I'm not sure why this was perhaps you could suggest....

Hi there. The church photos you mentioned don't look particularly "washed out" to me, although the one entitled "Church in Kingswood" seems to have been taken with the wrong White Balance (too blue). The two "Bitton Church" pics seem fine, although from the position of the shadows it looks like the sun was almost directly behind you. If you use a Polarizer the sun should be at about 90degrees (i.e. on your left or right) to get the best effects. Hope this is of some help.
