I agree, the tomatoes are more orange.

I made this one today, but I'm not satisfied. I have an other idea that I will try out tomorrow.

Just a thought with this weekly competition so don't bite my head off.

As we know entries are low and have been for some time, suggestion, like on other weekly competition forums why can't we use an archive photograph and in the case of a draw the picture taken nearest to the competition dates is the winner.

The thought on this is the fact that although the competition forces people to take pictures between set dates, as we all know this sometimes due to work, family or whatever it is not practicle, hence people do not bother entering. If an archive photo could be used then this may increase competition entries.

Not sure who the big boss is for this topic but just a thought, I know many a time I think I could use this or that photo but the weather has been rubbish and therefore not bothered.

What's the thoughts?

Not sure I like this idea Jeff. I like making the effort each week to get the camera out and try something new. Keeps the brain ticking over,,,,,,

Works on other forums, may increase participation, TBH it is better to have a good picture, not rushed, than a rushed picture, thats not that good just to meet a ( sometimes) 2 day deadline. Not all people can shoot on a Friday, this leaves Sat & Sun to shoot and process as people are back to work Mondays.

Just a thought, I will post on here IF I get a picture between the deadlines and if not then I will use the other forum that is more flexible, just trying to give an alternative to boost entries.

Lets be fair you have admitted yourself that your camera has not been out too much of late due to family circumstances.

You can still take pictures EVERY week, you don't need a competition to do that.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and would also like to wish all a Happy New Year.

Back after a lengthy Christmas layoff. Although I had my camera with me, I just couldn't make the effort to get it out of the bag. Beautiful weather in Dubai, think I should have stayed there. Tried to talk my youngest into taking a job he was offered by the company that owns Emirates, but no joy, so back in miserable England (weather wise that is).

Well back to the weekly comp, I've just checked out the camera on something red so will upload it into the competition.
